Iceland diversifies product sourcing with RangeMe

Iceland has partnered with RangeMe to streamline its buying and sourcing.

The platform, which has been joined by Vegan Trademark, Asda, and Tesco in the past few months, gives the frozen food retailer access to 800,000 products from over 200,000 suppliers.

The supermarket is using the company’s software to discover brands and products faster, connect with suppliers, and request samples.

“Joining forces with RangeMe has already transformed our sourcing and buying process,” said Andrew Staniland, trading director, Iceland. “Our customers have increasingly diverse tastes and preferences and RangeMe’s technology presents us with opportunity from the global product market on one screen.

“Embracing new technology, as we have with RangeMe, is key to getting ahead in the retail industry. This partnership has streamlined our approach to buying and sourcing and we will continue to maximise the software to supercharge our efforts to get the best-of-the-best onto the shelves in our stores as quickly as possible.”

Poundland significantly reduces antisocial behaviour, aggression and shoplifting with Motorola Solutions VT100 body cameras
Retail should not be a high-risk occupation. As a company, we are focused on listening to our colleagues and customers to help them with the issues they are facing in-store and so far, the feedback on our body cameras has been excellent. They act as a great visual deterrent, help to de-escalate situations and overall, this project has significantly aided our goal to make the retail environment safer.
