Coop Norway rolls out 128 digital screens across its stores

Coop Norway is rolling out 128 digital screens across 32 of its regional Coop Obs hypermarkets.

Coop Obs is a chain of hypermarkets in Norway, owned and managed by Coop Norway and its local cooperatives.

The screens have been rolled out as part of a new partnership with digital solutions specialist Zeta Display.

Located in high footfall areas, they will act as dynamic touchpoints for brand communication and real-time promotions.

The move aims to improve the retailer's customer experience through data-driven in-store communications, while offering advertisers a scalable and trackable media platform that can increase new revenue streams for Coop and a higher ROI for advertisers, the company said.

The retailer added that a selected group of partners has already been invited to collaborate in the development and testing of the initial launch.

Coop is Norway's second largest grocery retailer, with a portfolio of approximately 1,200 grocery and household goods shops.

Christian Skaarud, head of media at Coop Norway, said that the move would “set a new industry benchmark.”
