M&S activewear brand launches on The Sports Edit

Marks & Spencer (M&S) has announced that its in-house sportswear brand will be launched on The Sports Edit.

Goodmove, the retailer’s largest womenswear brand, will be available on the e-commerce platform alongside 50 other companies.

The move comes after M&S invested in The Sports Edit, an online curator of premium activewear.

M&S claims that since Goodmove’s launch in 2020, it has become the UK market leader for full price sales in the women’s activewear category – selling around 1.6 million items yearly.

“In the space of two years, we’ve grown Goodmove to be a market leader in women’s activewear, built on our authority in sports bras coupled with our expertise in clothing innovation,” said Richard Price, managing director of clothing and home at M&S. “Our launch on The Sports Edit is an exciting opportunity to showcase the great quality, everyday style and trusted value of Goodmove to new customers who are engaged in an active lifestyle as we continue to shape the future of M&S.”

Retail should not be a high-risk occupation. As a company, we are focused on listening to our colleagues and customers to help them with the issues they are facing in-store and so far, the feedback on our body cameras has been excellent. They act as a great visual deterrent, help to de-escalate situations and overall, this project has significantly aided our goal to make the retail environment safer.
