Same day distribution company CitySprint has extended its partnership with Wickes.
Announcing the three-year, multi-million pound contract, the DIY and homewares retailer said the agreement would continue to support home deliveries around the UK.
The move consolidates the partnership launched in 2016, which supported home deliveries for Wickes’ online customers from a network of over 200 stores across the UK, named ‘smart fulfillment’.
The new contract will see CitySprint continuing to provide single and two-person local delivery services from stock held by local Wickes stores and then delivered within pre-advised delivery windows for maximum customer or tradesperson convenience.
Typical items delivered range from standard DIY products – such as tiles, plumbing, electrical fittings and tools – to key building materials such as fence panels, timber and ready to fit kitchens.
Lisa Goward, head of customer fulfilment at Wickes, added: “2020 was a year that tested our partnership’s agility and strength to the maximum. Over the past 12 months, CitySprint provided us with invaluable delivery support — responding rapidly to the changing demands brought about by the Pandemic.
"We are extremely grateful for their continued support and look forward to developing our partnership over the next three years.”
