Tragus in £1.2 million IT upgrade

Tragus restaurant group (which owns Café Rouge, Strada and Bella Italia) is upgrading the IT systems across 289 sites in a £1.2 million extension to its contract with Torex.

The new technology will help Tragus to remain agile and responsive to new trends, prepare for future initiatives in loyalty and promotions and deliver fast and efficient service to its customers.

The deal includes the installation of Torex A12 PoS hardware in all newly opened Tragus restaurants. The hardware will be installed in the 15 restaurants it plans to open before the end of its financial year. Derek Risk, IT director for Tragus, says: “We see technology as a key enabler for our efforts to offer our customers great food and service. We’ve been very pleased with the ABS PoS Enterprise Management System so far and we’re happy to be working with Torex to secure further benefits from the system and help grow our business.”
