M&S chooses Ingenico for UK omnichannel payments

Marks & Spencer has partnered with Ingenico Group to implement a new payment service across in-store and online.

Ingenico’s payment platform will allow M&S customer to pay wherever and whenever they want using their preferred method and sales channel. It will also enable the retailer to better understand its customers and ultimately increase sales through this insight.

Crucially, the solution will also help M&S reduce its costs and complexity. The Ingenico PCI PTS 5 hardware will be rolled out across the M&S estate, with the latest Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) technology implemented, connected to a DSS platform to ensure customer data is secure.

Ingenico also takes full accountability for the performance of the new devices, as a result of operating its own service and repair centres.

Paul Airey, head of retail technology at M&S, said: “As part of our transformation efforts it’s vital that we’re working with the right partners who can help us improve both the online and in-store experience for our customers.

“Introducing this technology will ultimately enable us to introduce further innovation as part of our digital-first strategy and we’re looking forward to working together.”
