Homebase is partnering payments startup Zip for Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services.
The homewares and DIY provider will be among Australian payment firm’s first major brand partners in the UK.
Zip will be Homebase’s first omnichannel BNPL partnership, and will enable UK customers to pay for goods in four interest-free instalments.
Zip, which was founded in Sydney in 2013, has signed partnerships with e-commerce retailers including Boohoo and The Fragrance Shop, and currently processes $7.5 billion in payments every year across Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
The company said that Zip’s global footprint will enable UK merchants to integrate once and access customers worldwide.
Zip is a £3 billion company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Other brands partnered at UK launch include Alternative Airlines, Fashion Nova, The Game Collection, Hype, JTF Mega Discount Warehouse, Kiddie’s Kingdom, Marks Electrical, Never Fully Dressed, Oh Polly, Perkbox, ShopTo and Wave Direct.
