TAG Company inks EAS deal with HMV

HMV has signed a contract with TAG Company covering the supply of all EAS hardware, maintenance and consumables. The deal, which is on a rolling 12 month basis for up to three years, also covers the supply of solutions to protect the retailer’s technology ranges.

Jon Marchese, director of business development at TAG, comments: “Since the late 1990s, we have provided product protection solutions to HMV, and helped contribute to their industry leading loss prevention programme. With the broadening of product ranges being offered by them, it is essential that items are protected with innovative solutions. Our aim is to develop the program over the coming years.”

The contract provides the retailer with a Service Level Agreement. Sue Lamley, head of risk & loss prevention at HMV UK, says: “EAS product protection is an important element of a number of measures we employ to address loss, alongside CCTV, information systems and the placement of loss prevention officers in each of our stores and distribution centres. I am delighted to continue to work with TAG to ensure the best possible product protection for our extensive and developing product offer.”
