Co-op hires new business development manager for Secure Response unit

Co-op has appointed Ben Grover as the new business development manager at the Co-op Secure Response Unit, the security arm of the East of England Co-op.

The unit provides professional security services to businesses, communities and individuals across the UK.

It operates as an alarm receiving centre (ARC) monitoring over 11,000 CCTV cameras, GPS trackers, alarms and gates nationwide.

The arm also provides bespoke services for workers in the field and in the office, including intrusion and fire alarms, site surveillance and incident recovery support.

Grover brings over 12 years' experience in sales and business development to the new role.

He joins from Ipswich-based manufacturer Klipspringer, where he spent over a year as business development manager. There ,he was responsible for introducing innovative food safety solutions to the food and beverage manufacturing industry in the UK and Ireland.

He also worked with key customers to improve audit readiness and food safety standards, providing on-site and virtual support to customers.

From 2019 to 2020, he was business development manager at London-based optician Cult Vision, where he was responsible for expanding the company's customer base and promoting new business in various markets.

In his new role, Grover will be responsible for helping Co-op Secure Response grow into one of the UK's most trusted security providers.
