AO upgrades supply chain with BluJay

AO World has deployed BluJay’s DropShip solution to support delivery of its white goods and electrical product range.

A statement from the supply chain software firm explained that it will help to streamline AO’s transactional processes, maintaining on-time deliveries.

The partnership also gives AO access to BluJay’s commerce suite, its global trade network of logistics firms and the hundreds of suppliers in its DropShip network, opening the door for further product expansions in the future.

AO’s head of retail development Jennifer Hollowood-Smith said: “Our last-mile delivery is central to our business model and customer relationships – we can’t afford to compromise on quality, and we are excited to be working with BluJay.

“With their systems on board, we are perfectly placed to capitalise on the market and take our business into the next phase of growth.”

Sian Hopwood, senior vice president of B2B operations at BluJay, added: “Drop shipping is an essential competence for businesses looking to build and maintain strong customer relations in the e-commerce age.”
