Ocado CFO to join Kingfisher board

Ocado chief financial officer (CFO) Stephen Daintith is to join the Kingfisher board as non-executive director and member of the company’s audit and nomination committees on 1 April.

Daintith has also previously worked as CFO of Rolls-Royce from 2017 to 2021.

The CFO's other prior experience includes a number of executive roles including CFO of DMGT plc, chief operating officer and CFO of Dow Jones, and CFO of News International.

"We are delighted to welcome Stephen to the Kingfisher Board,” said Claudia Arney, chair of Kingfisher’s board. “As an experienced FTSE 100 CFO and audit committee chair, he brings a wealth of financial and commercial expertise to the Board along with a deep understanding of UK-listed and international businesses.

“Stephen's depth of experience, including in consumer and retail, will provide valuable insights as we continue to execute Kingfisher's strategic priorities, and we look forward to his contribution to the work of the Board and the Audit Committee."

Ian McLeod has also been appointed as a member of the company's audit committee and Bill Lennie as a member of the company's responsible business committee, both whilst continuing as non-executive directors of the board, with the new roles effective 1 March.
