Logistics tech start-up 7bridges raises $17m

Logistics technology start-up 7bridges has raised $17 million in a Series A funding round.

The London-based company said it provides an AI-powered logistics platform which helps companies improve their logistics visibility and their ability to orchestrate and execute operations.

The funding round was led by investment firm Eight Roads, and included investment from Maersk Growth, the venture arm of the European logistics company Maersk.

7bridges said the capital will be used to grow its commercial team and to further invest its own technology and data.

The start-up said this brings its total funding to date to $20.4 million.

“Almost every shipper is facing significant supply chain challenges from rising costs and a changing regulatory environment, and lack the tools and know-how to navigate them,” said Davor Hebel, managing partner and head of Eight Roads Europe. “7bridges is creating a new category of value optimisation software for logistics which has historically only been a service available to the largest shippers from consultants”.

He added: “We are incredibly excited to partner with the 7bridges team as they look to scale the business."

Retail should not be a high-risk occupation. As a company, we are focused on listening to our colleagues and customers to help them with the issues they are facing in-store and so far, the feedback on our body cameras has been excellent. They act as a great visual deterrent, help to de-escalate situations and overall, this project has significantly aided our goal to make the retail environment safer.
