Lidl to adopt flexible working policy

Lidl has announced plans to roll out flexible working for certain members of staff across the UK.

The discount retailer revealed the move in a post on the Lidl GB LinkedIn account.

The post read: “We have moved to a fully flexible model of mobile working for appropriate Head Office and Regional roles, empowering our teams to choose how and where they work best.

“We feel it is important that, where possible, we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible and trust our teams to determine the right environments that work most effectively for them.”

The move comes as some of the UK’s largest employers embraced flexible and hybrid working policies in the wake of the pandemic.

In May, Buy Now Pay Later giant Klarna announced plans for flexible working worldwide, saying that the past two years had “proven” significant growth and success can be achieved with hybrid working.
