H&M introduces return fee

H&M is now charging £1.99 for postal item returns.

Following in the footsteps of Uniqlo, BooHoo, and Next, H&M has now imposed the £1.99 return fee “per return parcel to store or online” for non-members which will be deducted from customers’ refund for items they choose to return.

The Swedish fashion retailer added that it would not charge customers if an item is “determined to be faulty or incorrect”.

Returns, however, will remain free for H&M members.

BooHoo introduced its £1.99 return fees for parcels in 2022 following its admission that its sales had been impacted by the “ongoing normalisation of returns”, with pandemic-related and inflationary factors negatively impacting costs within its supply chain.
