Debenhams Group has announced it has extended its long-term partnership with parcel delivery company Evri.
The new deal will establish Evri, which has been providing delivery services for Debenhams since 2014, as one of its key delivery partners.
Debenhams said customers will also benefit from the launch of Evri’s new locker strategy, giving them more choice over how they receive their orders.
Evri recently announced a planned investment of £50 million to enable it to more than double its network of ParcelShops and Lockers by 2030, reaching 25,000 locations.
The partnership extension follows a number of announcements by Evri, including a proposed merger with DHL UK eCommerce, alongside the acquisition of Ireland’s Coll-8 - a leading independent customs clearance and logistics specialist.
Over the past financial year, Evri has delivered a total of 807 million parcels.
“As a global business serving millions of customers, delivering a seamless and reliable service is our top priority,” said Dan Finley, chief executive officer at Debenhams Group. “Today's shoppers expect speed, flexibility and full visibility when it comes to receiving their items, whenever and however they choose to shop.”
