Crew partners with circular shopping platform Thrift+

Crew Clothing is partnering with second-hand clothing resale platform Thrift+.

Available today to mark World Oceans Day, Crew said the launch marked a pivotal step in the brand’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Thrift+ enables a circular shopping platform for brands, encouraging their customers to send in ‘pre-loved’ clothes to be re-sold on Thrift’s platform in return for credits which can be used against second-hand products on Thrift’s platform or donated to a charity of choice.

Georgina Clark, brand director for Crew Clothing, said: “We design clothes to last a lifetime, so it felt like a natural progression for the brand to partner with Thrift+, one of the most innovative circularity solutions in the industry.

“The second-hand clothing market is growing rapidly and through our support for the platform, we hope to see many of our heritage styles go on to be treasured all over again with Thrift+ customers,” she added.

Thrift+ was founded in 2015 by Joe Metcalfe, with the aim of ‘bringing charity shops online’.

Retail should not be a high-risk occupation. As a company, we are focused on listening to our colleagues and customers to help them with the issues they are facing in-store and so far, the feedback on our body cameras has been excellent. They act as a great visual deterrent, help to de-escalate situations and overall, this project has significantly aided our goal to make the retail environment safer.
