Affirm expands payment offering

US FinTech Affirm has expanded its range to offer interest-free, three-month payment terms to help shoppers a new way to make smaller purchases.

The company suggested the expansion will be especially valuable to fashion brands and retailers that want to offer a quick and convenient payment method and are more transparent than traditional credit.

Affirm already partners with over 1,200 merchants, including Tamara Mellon, Rebecca Minkoff, Paul Evans and Shinola. It will continue to offer shoppers the option to buy now and make payments over time for purchases up to thousands of dollars, with terms ranging from three to 36 months.

“Savvy consumers appreciate having the option to spread out the cost of a great pair of shoes or a new outfit over three months rather than pay up front,” said Rob Pfeifer, chief revenue officer at Affirm.
