Wayfair appoints ex-Amazon exec head of Europe

E-commerce company Wayfair has appointed ex-Amazon executive Dr. Jens Uwe Intat as its new head of Europe.

Wayfair, founded in 2002, specialises in furniture and home goods and claims to offer 14 million items from more than 11,000 global suppliers.

Intat is set to be based at Wayfair’s Berlin European headquarters and will be bring over 30 years of retail experience to the table.

Before joining Wayfair, Intat spent five years as an executive leader for Amazon Germany, leading divisions including consumer electronics, PC, office, kitchen, home living, lawn and garden, and home improvement.

Intat also held a senior position at video game publisher Electronic Arts where he was responsible for publishing, go-to-market strategy, and supply chain operations.
