Tesco extends data analytics contract

Tesco will continue its ongoing partnership with enterprise analytics business Teradata.

The supermarket retailer, which has over 360,000 employees, has a longstanding contract with the company.

Teradata Vantage is a connected multi-cloud data platform for enterprise analytics. It enables ecosystem simplification by unifying analytics, data, lakes, and data warehouses.

Tesco is able to incorporate new technologies through the platform’s integration with popular third-party tools and analytic languages. According to Teradata, this means the company can access and analyse all its data without having to “learn a new tool or language.”

“It has been a real partnership helping Tesco realise its vision of being an innovative and agile company that can leverage the power of a proven data analytics platform,” said Magnus Palmaer, EVP, regional sales, EMEA at Teradata.
