Vendor buys Venda

US-based NetSuite has acquired UK outfit Venda for an undisclosed amount.

The cloud-based digital commerce solutions provider’s customers include Tesco’s F&F, BooHoo.com and Cloggs. NetSuite says that the acquisition builds on the momentum of its SuiteCommerce solution and supports its business expansion into the European market.

"Venda pioneered the concept of bringing commerce to the cloud and their expertise in supporting the needs of companies throughout Europe is a perfect match for NetSuite as our customers begin to adopt our SuiteCommerce omnichannel platform around the globe,” says Zach Nelson, NetSuite CEO. “By combining their deep customer insight and years of experience delivering a real-time, scalable commerce platform with NetSuite’s cloud leadership, we can bring new capabilities to B2B and B2C companies of all sizes and transform how they run their businesses.”

Retail should not be a high-risk occupation. As a company, we are focused on listening to our colleagues and customers to help them with the issues they are facing in-store and so far, the feedback on our body cameras has been excellent. They act as a great visual deterrent, help to de-escalate situations and overall, this project has significantly aided our goal to make the retail environment safer.
