Morrisons has introduced a new rapid delivery service, Morrisons Now, promising fresh food brought to customers’ doors in as little as one hour.
The supermarket said the service is live in 158 stores and will extend to 420 stores nationwide by the end of October, with orders placed via Morrisons.com or the Morrisons Groceries app. There is a £4.50 delivery fee and a £15 minimum order value, the grocer said.
Designed for speed and convenience, Morrisons Now allows shoppers living near participating stores to order up to 30 items for quick fulfilment. Orders will be picked at local stores and delivered by trusted partners using courier bikes or cars, with real‑time tracking from store to door. The retailer said customers can use features such as ‘Instant Shop’ to build baskets quickly, shop from home delivery favourites, and retain saved addresses and payment details through their Morrisons.com account.
“Morrisons Now brings together all the benefits of a Morrisons.com account in one seamless experience, with items delivered in as little as one hour,” the company said in a statement. It added that shoppers will continue to earn More Card points and access More Card promotions through the service.
Charlotte Exell, group online director at Morrisons, said the offer is intended to help customers manage everyday needs with greater flexibility. “We are delighted to offer this service to our customers across the country, supporting them with fresh food delivered fast. We know that life is busy and Morrisons Now is here to make those everyday moments easier, delivering what you need, within as little as an hour,” Exell said.
Morrisons framed the launch as part of a broader push to enhance convenience and customer service. The supermarket said the service covers situations from forgotten ingredients and last‑minute dinner guests to spur‑of‑the‑moment cravings, highlighting freshly made doughnuts as one example. The rollout strengthens Morrisons’ quick‑commerce capabilities at a time when shoppers are increasingly seeking faster fulfilment options for smaller, top‑up shops.
The company expects a full national rollout by the end of October, positioning Morrisons Now as an additional route to its fresh, high‑quality food. Customers can find participating locations and service details on the retailer’s website.
The launch adds a new fast-fulfilment route to market alongside existing home delivery. It comes as UK supermarkets expand short-window delivery offers for top-up shops and urgent purchases. Sainsbury’s runs Chop Chop with one-hour delivery and a £4.99 fee; Tesco operates Tesco Whoosh targeting delivery within 60 minutes; Waitrose offers rapid delivery through Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat; Asda provides Asda Express Delivery with one-hour and same-day options; and Ocado offers Ocado Zoom in select cities with delivery within the hour.
