Mango appoints director of home

Mango has appointed Nuria Font as director of Mango Home.

Font, who was previously director of the fashion retailer’s wholesale department, has worked for Mango for nearly 20 years.

She has led different teams at the company in areas including commercial product management and expansion.

Font began her career as an auditor at KPMG, later joining Mango in 2006 as product manager in commercial product management.

Font takes on the role from Laura Vila, who spent 17 years with the company and launched the Mango Home line in 2021.

Since then, Font has held various positions of responsibility within the company for almost two decades, including B2B key account manager for the Asian and Middle Eastern markets and project manager.

Mango said her appointment is part of its plan to strengthen its position in the market.

In its Strategic Plan 2024-2026 it aims to grow its homeware line through “aspirationalism, quality and individual style.”

Last month, Mango announced plans to open over 20 new stores in the UK in 2024. The retailer will expand its footprint in Glasgow and Edinburgh and open four new stores in London.
