Wickes extends partnership with CitySprint to cut delivery time

Home improvement retailer Wickes has expanded its partnership with same day courier CitySprint.

As part of the partnership expansion, CitySprint will reduce the delivery time window from five hours to four.

CitySprint will continue to provide home delivery services until the end of December 2027.

Customers can also now use their tracking link to choose a safe place for delivery.

Wickes added that couriers will receive these the instructions instantly on their device.

CitySprint will provide deliveries from Wickes’ network of over 230 stores across the UK.

Wickes said the local fulfilment model enables customers to receive fast and convenient deliveries directly from nearby stores, which also reduces the environmental impact of long-haul transportation.

Around 260 accredited couriers make deliveries for Wickes each day.

In 2024, this partnership saw CitySprint complete over one million deliveries with an on-time performance rate of over 98 per cent.

“CitySprint has been an integral partner for Wickes, ensuring our customers receive a fast and reliable delivery service,” said Keith Ash, distribution and fulfilment director at Wickes. “This extension is a vital part of our strategy to stay competitive in the home improvement market, and we’re proud to continue building on our shared commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction."
