Wayfair introduces flexible payment options for Canadian and UK customers

Online furniture retailer Wayfair has rolled out Buy Now, Pay Later for customers in Canada and the UK through an expanded partnership with Affirm.

The agreement builds on a similar deal which saw Affirm roll out flexible payment options to Wayfair’s online and in-store checkouts across the US last October.

Affirm emphasised it will not charge users late or hidden fees, adding that there is no compounding interest on payments.

"Home is deeply personal, and we want every part of the shopping experience — including how customers pay — to reflect that," said Curtis Crawford, head of fintech and loyalty at Wayfair. "Since first partnering with Affirm nearly a decade ago, we've seen how much our customers value having flexible, transparent payment options.”

In March last year, Wayfair launched an app that helps customers build home spaces inspired and generated by AI.

The app, called Muse, offers a visual browsing experience, allowing customers to build a digital version of their aspirational home by providing rich images, home styles, and a variety of items to build custom collections by linking the search to Wayfair's product catalogue.

While customers build their own home, the company’s new app suggests complementary items that can be added to a customer’s ideal home and shopping list.
