The Very Group has installed a new agentic AI-based platform to offer more tailored shopping experiences across its Very and Littlewoods websites.
The retailer said the technology uses more than 800 behavioural signals to predict customers’ intentions in real time, allowing Very to personalise what shoppers see throughout their online journey.
The retail group has partnered with AI personalisation specialist Made With Intent to roll out the technology.
The platform can recommend offers based on individual shopping behaviour, display personalised payment options and trigger prompts at key stages of the customer journey.
The company said the agentic AI decision engine combines a proprietary behavioural model with an optimisation engine that continuously learns which experiences perform best for different types of shoppers and applies those insights to future visits.
Sarah Hanna, digital director at The Very Group, said that the company has already seen promising results including revenue per customer increasing by a fifth and an uplift in overall conversion.
“Made With Intent's agentic platform unlocks fast paced, scalable real-time personalisation that can be executed to help enhance the customer experience, ultimately influencing our commercial KPIs,” she added.
“Made With Intent gives our ecommerce team a brand-new lever that they can effortlessly activate to make a difference on what our customers see and when, whether that's one-off discounts or personalised payment options. It's all about giving customers the right experience at the right time.”
Earlier this month, the Very Group named Beckie Crane-Stanion as its new marketing director.
Crane-Stanion joins from the affordable luxury brand Abbott Lyon, where she was global brand director for one year and oversaw its expansion from jewellery to a global lifestyle and gifting offering.
In her new role, Crane-Stanion will spearhead Very’s creative and marketing strategy, customer engagement across all of its channels, and direct teams across brand, marketing, and the firm’s in-house creative agency HelloStudio.
