The Fragrance Shop partners with BitPay for crypto payments

The Fragrance Shop has partnered with BitPay to allow its customers to make purchases using cryptocurrency.

Customers will be able to use cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum to pay for brands such as Chanel, Dior, and Tom Ford.

The news comes as more retailers are incorporating cryptocurrencies into their payments protocols.

In November 2021, L.K. Bennett partnered with Open Banking payments provider Mode to offer customers Bitcoin rewards options.

“We at The Fragrance Shop are always keeping on top of advances in everything from fragrance trends to technology, with our end goal to make the shopping process as easy and enjoyable as possible for our customers from start to finish,” said Sanjay Vadera, chief executive of The Fragrance Shop. "We have been watching the cryptocurrency market grow and develop in the past few years, so now is the perfect time to introduce crypto payments into The Fragrance Shop – just one of the many ways to pay for your purchases with us online.”

Merrick Theobald, vice president of marketing at BitPay, said: “The Fragrance Shop realises the potential for crypto to transform the fragrance and beauty industry, making payments faster, more secure, and less expensive on a global scale.”
