Screwfix has announced it is launching a rapid delivery service that will deliver orders direct to site within 60 minutes.

Following a successful trial, Screwfix Sprint will be rolled out across more than 30 UK cities between now and November.

London, Birmingham and Glasgow are among the cities included, meaning that the service will be available across 34 per cent of UK postcodes, with further rollout planned next year.

The delivery, which has a £5 charge, will be available via the Screwfix app.
According to the retailer, during its trial in Bristol hundreds of trade customers used the service to deliver thousands of orders.

“We understand how busy the nation’s tradespeople are and we are always looking for ways to provide our customers with even greater convenience, meaning they can get what they need, when they need it,” said John Mewett, chief executive, Screwfix. “Our one-minute Click and Collect service is already hugely popular and the trial of Screwfix Sprint across Bristol showed how, in addition tradespeople value one hour delivery to where they are working.”

Mewett added: “For many, time is money and this means not having to leave site to collect a part, tool or other key essential needed for the job.”
