The Sage Group has completed its acquisition of cloud-based retail operating system Brightpearl.
The deal, worth £225 million, was first announced in December.
Brightpearl is based in Bristol and Austin, Texas and its multichannel system is aimed at retailers and wholesalers.
Sage said the acquisition will enable it to offer customers end-to-end retail financial management, inventory planning, sales and order management, purchasing, and supplier management, CRM, fulfilment, warehousing, and logistics management.
“We have made great strides in providing the technology businesses need to digitally transform their organisations today and for tomorrow,” said Dan Miller, executive vice president at Sage Intacct. “For Sage Intacct customers, the value of being part of the Sage digital network is truly coming to bear through the AI technology we have put in their toolkit to help them streamline their work and save them valuable time – whilst providing their customers with an even better service.”
He added: “The acquisition of Brightpearl sees us doubling down on our vertical strategy to bring these benefits to retail e-commerce organisations, expanding our ability to increase the role technology plays in the world’s leading businesses.”
