Pets at Home launches in-store video calls

Pets at Home has partnered with Go Instore to launch a new video service that will enable customers to engage with in-store experts online.

Through an immersive HD-video technology, customers will now be able to connect with store employees via video calls.

With the shift to online shopping and an increase in pet ownership across the UK, the British pet supply company said it wanted to give their customers the same advice available in-store to those using its e-commerce platform.

“By partnering with Go Instore, we’re able to deliver the same level of expert advice and guidance regardless of how customers interact with us,” said Chris Holyland, group digital director, Pets at Home. “Go Instore's live video solution has helped Pets at Home deliver for our customers when and where they need it the most.”

Holyland added: “As a pet care business that offers a wide variety of services and product solutions, we want to create a joined-up pet care experience so that our customers know they will receive the same great level of service however they choose to shop with us.”

Poundland significantly reduces antisocial behaviour, aggression and shoplifting with Motorola Solutions VT100 body cameras
Retail should not be a high-risk occupation. As a company, we are focused on listening to our colleagues and customers to help them with the issues they are facing in-store and so far, the feedback on our body cameras has been excellent. They act as a great visual deterrent, help to de-escalate situations and overall, this project has significantly aided our goal to make the retail environment safer.
