Netflix opens show-related online shop

Netflix has announced that it is launching a new e-shop combining curated products with storytelling.

Netflix.shop will drop exclusive and limited editions of ‘high-quality’ apparel and lifestyle products linked to the content platform’s shows and brand.

Items debuting this month include streetwear and action figures based on anime series ‘Yasuke’ and ‘Eden’, alongside limited-edition apparel and decorative items inspired by ‘Lupin’ in collaboration with the Musée du Louvre.

“Just like in our series and films, we’re excited to work with new voices in this space as well,” wrote the company’s vice president consumer products, Josh Simon, in a blog post. “For our launch today, Netflix.shop is also introducing a collection of anime-inspired collectibles from a remarkable group of up-and-coming designers: Nathalie Nguyen, Kristopher Kites and Jordan Bentley.”

Netflix said that there will soon be exclusive products available on its new digital shop from ‘The Witcher’ and ‘Stranger Things,’ alongside new Netflix logo-wear from Japanese fashion house BEAMS.

These limited-edition items join the range of consumer products already available through the company’s partnerships with retailers like Target.

The Netflix.shop will first be available in the US before expanding into other countries around the world in the coming months.
