N Brown partners Oracle for cloud migration

N Brown Group has partnered with Oracle as it migrates systems to the cloud.

The company in charge of JD Williams, Simply Be, Ambrose Wilson and Jacamo is working with Oracle Retail Consulting Services and will implement the Retail Demand Forecasting Cloud Service to maximize forecast accuracy for the entire product lifecycle. The digital brands will also use this functionality to enhance business efficiency.

Last year, N Brown selected Oracle ERP Cloud to offer its finance teams faster access to data, delivering an improvement to operational performance.

“Our digital transformation will create further efficiencies in the business by adopting industry best practices and automating processes that will allow our teams to focus on our core goal – serving customers,” said Adam Warne, chief information officer at N Brown Group.

Its digital transformation strategy showed signs of pay off last year, with statutory profits of £18.8 million for the six months to 31 August, compared to losses of £27.1 million for the same time in 2018.

Retail should not be a high-risk occupation. As a company, we are focused on listening to our colleagues and customers to help them with the issues they are facing in-store and so far, the feedback on our body cameras has been excellent. They act as a great visual deterrent, help to de-escalate situations and overall, this project has significantly aided our goal to make the retail environment safer.
