Microsoft to open London flagship in July

Microsoft will open a new flagship store in the centre of London will open on 11 July.

The 22,000 square foot space will cover three floors in the former United Colors of Benetton unit at 255-259 Regent Street.

The computer manufacturer first revealed its plans to open a bricks and mortar outpost here in September 2017. It already has flagships in New York and Sydney.

The London store will offer shoppers immersive video walls and interactive spaces to test Microsoft’s latest technology, products and services.

It will also feature an Answer Desk, where customers can get tech support, repairs, training and advice from specialist staff.

Meanwhile, a Community Theatre will put on free workshops for visitors to learn about technology, coding and STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) subjects.

“This opening represents another step in our journey to meet our customers - from consumers to businesses - wherever they are and deepen our connection with them,” said David Porter, corporate vice president for Microsoft Stores.
