Mango to open 13 new UK shops

Mango has announced plans to expand in the UK with the opening of 13 new stores by the end of the year. The Spanish retailer has 53 stores in the UK along with an online retail channel.

The expansion will focus on the south and centre of the UK with shops opening in London, Manchester and Leeds. The fashion brand will also open its first store in Brighton in the Churchill Square Shopping centre.

Mango is launching a branch in Westfield Stratford City, one of the largest shopping centres in the UK, with a selling space of 450m2.

The new stores will feature a Mediterranean-inspired store concept using sustainable and natural materials including ceramic, wood, tuff and grass.

Commenting on the news Daniel López, Mango’s director of expansion and franchises, said the UK is one of Mango’s key markets for international expansion.

“Our arrival this year in cities we have not been present in until now and in some of the largest shopping centres in the country will consolidate the Mango brand and allow us to strengthen our position internationally,” he said.
