MADE gets connected beside seaside

MADE.COM has opened a data driven popup space in Brighton, powered by partner CloudTags. Located at 114 Church Street, it will be open for four weeks, 2 – 25 January. It’s pitched as a connected, NFC-enabled space that enables MADE to offer its catalogue to customers and staff via CloudTags’ tablets. The data captured from these tablets allows it to identify product trends and increase the accuracy of its online remarketing. It also features an interactive tap wall of images from MADE x Unboxed, the brand’s social platform.

MADE is trialling the connected showroom as part of its strategy to balance its online and offline presence. "Our first connected showroom in Brighton is a test to capture the imagination and attention of new and existing customers who may have heard of our brand or been on our website, but want to experience it. We feel we’ve found a winning combination of data, people and nimble design elements,” says Annabel Kilner, UK country manager at MADE.COM.

Poundland significantly reduces antisocial behaviour, aggression and shoplifting with Motorola Solutions VT100 body cameras
Retail should not be a high-risk occupation. As a company, we are focused on listening to our colleagues and customers to help them with the issues they are facing in-store and so far, the feedback on our body cameras has been excellent. They act as a great visual deterrent, help to de-escalate situations and overall, this project has significantly aided our goal to make the retail environment safer.
