Joe & The Juice rolls out new multimedia countertop payment across stores

Juice and coffee bar chain Joe & The Juice has rolled out a new multimedia countertop Android payment terminal across its stores.

Developed by FinTech platform Ayden, the SFO1 terminal features an eight-inch touch screen and merges payment functions with customer-facing marketing displays, combining payments with integrated brand loyalty and engagement programmes directly at the point of sale.

The terminal allows pre-orders to be made via the retailer’s app, while it also enables personalised loyalty incentives and marketing content to be shown to the client directly at the till.

The decision to boost its in-store experience comes as the brand accelerates its expansion in the US market with a focus on key cities like New York.

As part of its US growth strategy, Joe & The Juice said it will also use the software to leverage real-time data and feedback.

Nicolai Schnack, chief technology officer at Joe & The Juice, commented on the integration: "Adyen’s new SFO1 terminal allows us to adapt to various market environments, enhancing our in-store experience to match the retail environment.”

Founded in 2002, Joe & The Juice operates in more than 450 locations across 18 countries.

The company sells freshly prepared juices, shakes, sandwiches, and coffee and said it uses natural and organic ingredients.

Poundland significantly reduces antisocial behaviour, aggression and shoplifting with Motorola Solutions VT100 body cameras
Retail should not be a high-risk occupation. As a company, we are focused on listening to our colleagues and customers to help them with the issues they are facing in-store and so far, the feedback on our body cameras has been excellent. They act as a great visual deterrent, help to de-escalate situations and overall, this project has significantly aided our goal to make the retail environment safer.
