Google introduces AI picture tool for businesses

Google has introduced Product Studio, a new tool for businesses to create and enhance images using generative AI.

The service is part of Merchant Center, which is a platform designed to help businesses manage how their products show up on Google.

In a blog post, Google said it aims to cut costs for businesses wanting to create high quality images. Using the free service, businesses can edit images to reflect new marketing campaigns or seasonal changes.

Merchants can also increase the revolution of images without having to retake photos and remove the background from a product image.

Google claims that products with more than one image have 76 per cent more impressions and 32 per cent more clicks on its sites.

The service will be available to merchants in the US in the next few months. The features will also be rolled out to businesses using the Google and YouTube app on Shopify.

Earlier this week Adobe shared details of new AI features it will be rolling out on Photoshop. The company said that Firefly-powered ‘Generative Fill’ will give users a “magical new way” to work with new abilities to add, extend or remove content from images non-destructively by using simple text prompts.
