Frank’s Catering expands delivery service across London

Frank's Catering (Frank's), one of London's oldest family-run catering companies, is expanding its delivery services across London to meet increasing demand.

The retailer, which previously facilitated its own deliveries across Capital with its in-house fleet, has partnered with same-day delivery company Gophr to support deliveries beyond its current reach, including long-distance deliveries, last-minute requests, and excess orders during peak hours.

Founded in 1980 as a coffee shop, the catering company has grown over the years to become a supplier to events, offices and hospitality venues across the capital.

The new delivery service will support everything from office catering to deliveries for larger events serving 10 to 200 people.

The collaboration aims to give Frank's the operating margin it needs to continue expanding into new geographical areas and types of services in a cost-effective and sustainable manner.

Sam De Conto, director of Frank's, said that as the business has grown, the retailer has reached a point where relying solely on its own vans would limit what it can take on.

“Gophr lets us protect and better the standards our customers expect while giving us the breathing room to grow without compromise,” he noted.

The business added that sustainability will remain a key priority of the partnership.

Frank's said it will continue to use fully recyclable, plastic-free packaging, while Gophr's network of local couriers will help minimise unnecessary mileage and maintain the quality of temperature-sensitive products throughout the supply chain.
