Calbee UK benefits from new ERP system

Snack manufacturer Calbee UK has selected Epicor Tropos to supply its new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Since implementing the new system, a manufacturing process has been established and the new product line was active in less than three months. Customer orders began to be processed after five months, following the completion of the British Retail Consortium’s audit.

Through the new system, each product comes off the production line with traceability, stock control, purchasing and finance capability.

Nigel Hebron, finance director at Calbee UK, commented: “Not only did we need an ERP system that would help us in getting the business up and running, but one that was suitable for the food and beverage process manufacturing industry.

“We needed the ability to track our products right from the raw ingredients to the finished goods, and that’s why we selected the Epicor Tropos solution—it was perfect for meeting our very specific business needs.”
