Asos appoints new supply chain partner

Asos has appointed Maersk as its strategic logistics partner for supply chain management.

Under the new agreement Maersk and the online fashion retailer will partner on supply chain management along with ocean and air services into all fulfilment centres globally.

The companies first started working together during the pandemic when Maersk supported Asos during constrained market conditions.

Commenting on the news David Flavell, head of supply chain at Asos, said: “Over a short period ASOS has built a robust strategic relationship with Maersk, bringing together two leading businesses.

Asos recently revealed that revenue declined by four pe cent in the last few months of 2022 due to “challenging trading conditions.” Sales dropped by eight per cent in the UK due to “weak consumer sentiment.”
