Amazon investigates missing PS5 deliveries

Amazon has said it is investigating a number of missing Play Station Five deliveries in the UK.

Some Amazon UK customers were shocked to open their delivery boxes and find random items inside instead of their expected PS5 purchase.

Customers took to social media to express their dissatisfaction about the missing deliveries.

One unhappy customer said on Twitter: “Definitely wasn’t expecting an air fryer in my PS5 delivery” while another said “Disgusting all round! My son will be heartbroken at Christmas.”

Some customers even accused delivery drivers of stealing the in-demand games console which is tipped to be a best-seller in the run up to Christmas.

In a statement the e-commerce giant said: “We’re all about making our customers happy, and that hasn’t happened for a small proportion of these orders.

"We’re really sorry about that and are investigating exactly what’s happened. We’re reaching out to every customer who’s had a problem and made us aware so we can put it right. Anyone who has had an issue with any order can contact our customer services team for help.”
