Abercrombie & Fitch adds Mary Fox to board of directors

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. has announced the election of Mary Fox to its board of directors.

Fox, who joined the board effective 18 August, is the current president at American home furnishings retailer Lovesac.

Prior to her current position, Fox served for three years as general manager for North American consumer products at disposable items giant BIC. She also spent six years at L’Oréal as senior vice president for ecommerce, business development, and the future of retail, and a decade at Walmart in senior roles overseeing strategy, services, and global sourcing.

Nigel Travis, chairperson of the board at Abercrombie & Fitch, said: “We are excited to welcome Mary to Abercrombie & Fitch Co.’s board of directors.

“She brings an incredibly strong digital commerce and brand-building background that spans a 25-year career in consumer goods. As a current executive, she brings a deep understanding of today’s dynamic consumer environment and how customers are connecting with brands, which will be an invaluable addition to the board and company.”

Abercrombie & Fitch has recently gone through a sweeping modernisation process. In November 2025, it announced a new agentic commerce partnership with PayPal and Cymbio to make its products purchasable via AI chatbots. In December of that year, the firm also announced the rollout of RFID tech across its stores to provide real-time overview of its stock.
