M&S taps Eurostop for overseas franchise

Eurostop is to deliver ePoS and merchandising systems to York Ltd, Marks & Spencer’s franchisee partner in Gibraltar and Spain.

The roll-out includes Eurostop’s latest ‘e-pos Touch’ shop floor solution, which is multi-lingual, and makes the Gibraltar and Marbella stores the first M&S overseas franchises with the technology to send live sales data from their tills back to head office.

The new software deployment also includes Eurostop’s promotion module, which enables the two international stores to run the same M&S promotions and discounts as shops in the UK.

Eurostop is the first supplier to deliver these type of retail systems under the terms of the new M&S data contract for franchisees, which could pave the way for a more global roll-out.

Tony Welsh, managing director of York Ltd, said: “We have been very impressed by the quality and delivery of Eurostop’s solution, which not only provides M&S approved technology, but also enables us to have one system for both locations. With more technology at the till point we can now offer our customers a better and quicker service. We have also standardised our business processes and fully integrated our stores with M&S in the UK.”
