SuperGroup invests in new EpoS system

SuperGroup, which owns the Cult retail chain and Superdry brand, is implementing the Dynamic Blade EPoS solution across its 42 UK stores following a deal with DigiPoS Store Solutions.

In June 2009, SuperGroup opted to implement the system across its head office. It has since been installed in 17 of its stores and is set to be rolled out across the remaining outlets and concessions, including those planned for 2010.

The retailer's IT manager, Brad Ainslie, says: "Although the former tills were robust and easy to use, we found that when a single component went faulty the whole till had to be sent away to be repaired. The cost for the business to have a till down in a busy store over a busy period is difficult evaluate, but losing customers due to long queues is not good to any retailer. The DigiPos system has already in its short time surpassed the former tills, even though it has only been implemented over a short period of time."

"We are also pleased by the aesthetics of the system, and were able to create a PoS solution that was tailored to reflect the Superdry brand and imagery," he adds.
