New Look to grow m-commerce revenue

New Look plans to boost m-commerce sales by running mobile-only offers to entice customers to buy via their phones. The fashion retailer wants to increase the number of sales conducted on its mobile sites and apps, including doing deals with third-party affiliate partners, to bolster its overall e-commerce revenue.

Rav Dhaliwal, New Look e-commerce marketing manager, says there are few mobile affiliate companies actually improving sales, or interactions, via a retailer’s mobile properties.

“We see mobile affiliate as a bridge between retailer and online,” he said, adding that most of its mobile affiliate activity has generated in-store sales. New Look has used affiliates extensively [Vouchercloud and ShopStyle] but the majority drive in-store footfall and not m-commerce. There’s not that many people out there that can track effectively on mobile.”

New Look has seen its m-commerce sales increase 500 per cent year on year, after launching its m-commerce site in the first quarter of the year, according to its latest earnings call.
