The full range of PayPoint services is now available throughout Martin McColl, following roll-out of its terminals to almost 1,300 locations.

The roll-out into Martin's newsagents and McColl's convenience stores began in February and all stores were live on schedule by the end of June. "The last piece of the jigsaw was to convert the Martin's and McColl's EPoS systems taking mobile top ups to PayPoint, and this was completed in mid-August," says Mike Igoe, retail strategy director at PayPoint. "This was a substantial exercise to ensure that all the different elements, including signage, came together at the same time.

"We are always looking at ways we can improve the service we offer our customers," adds Paul Taylor, general marketing manager at Martin McColl. "And making the full range of payments and other services from PayPoint, available to all our customers is another way to achieve that. It is the leading branded cash payments provider in the UK and is well recognised by our customers, so we are already seeing increased footfall as more customers see that we have PayPoint. We're particularly excited at the prospect of integrating its new 'PPOD' system which will allow us to offer bill payment facilities at every till and save us an enormous amount of time and effort with daily reconciliations."
