La Senza has called in KPMG

La Senza, which was once owned by Dragon's Den star, Theo Paphitis, could go into administration. The lingerie retailer has appointed KPMG to restructure the business, which employs 2,600 people across 158 stores.

Owner, private equity firm Lion Capital, called in KPMG to consider a series of restructuring options that could include administration, it is understood. Other options could include attracting new investment or a company voluntary arrangement in a bid to close stores.

Lion Capital acquired La Senza in 2006 from Paphitis, for £100 million.
