K3 announce tablet PoS for Windows

K3 Retail has announced the launch of the new tablet enabled point of sale (PoS). The new system provides an improved customer experience in-store by enabling the store staff to quickly and easily access all of the K3 PoS functionality with a tablet device anywhere in-store.

The new solution uses the Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail PoS which is designed to run on any Windows device.

For store managers, the tablet enabled device can be used to access all of the normal store manager functions via the store portal to interact directly with both the store and head office system. Real-time business intelligence, loss prevention, stock check and delivery receipt can all be performed on the device.

Peter Ward, Product Manager for AX at K3 Retail, says: “What’s great about the solution is that store assistants can access brand websites, scan items, check availability, access customer loyalty information, process Click and Collect orders, and place orders for the right item when the stock is not immediately available - absolutely anything. With wireless printers and PEDs, we can even take the payment and print the receipt without having to go back to a sales point."
