JD Sports is using its Facebook page and other social media to find customers to become the face of its next ad campaign.The sports-clothing retailer will replace models with “real people with real style” with the launch of a nationwide search across social media and in-store.
The retailer's Facebook page and an app on the social network allows people to log in to enter themselves and vote. The 20 people who receive the most votes will automatically be entered into a casting, while a panel of judges will also select 800 people to attend. Eight winners will get a place in the final campaign.
