CBA deploys e-paper solution

CBA, one of Hungary's largest retailers, has implemented ZBD's electronic shelf labels within its Prima supermarket store. This is the third CBA store to have deployed the electronic shelf labels, with all projects implemented by ZBD's VISION partner in Hungary, Laurel.

CBA has an estate of 3,300 stores, all operating under a co-operative-like business model with a proportion of stores centrally owned. The Prima store has been equipped with a combination of ZBD's epop 500, 300 and 50 displays. The displays have all been implemented within the fruit and vegetable department.

Peter Feniász, CBA's managing director, says: "The reasons behind selecting this solution was to ensure we display accurate pricing for customers at all times, and to eliminate the risk of fines imposed for price differences. With the solution in place, our staff will be able to spend more time on serving customers and other tasks in store."
