Yodel wins over Pet Supermarket.co.uk

Parcel delivery company, Yodel, has secured a contract with Pet Supermarket.co.uk to be the retailer’s sole delivery partner. The contract for Yodel’s business and neighbourhood services, represents approximately 250,000 deliveries of pet food and supplies per year, and was won from incumbent supplier Parcelforce.

The web based pet supplies company, headquartered in Jarrow, South Tyneside, was founded in 2004 by entrepreneur Mark Berriman and has seen substantial sales growth year on year in everything from pet food and toys to medication.

Pet Supermarket.co.uk’s managing director, Mark Berriman says: “Pet Supermarket.co.uk was established by pet lovers for pet lovers, to provide the products that they and their animals rely on, at the best possible prices.

“We offer our customers a five point guarantee, which includes ‘delivery when it suits you’. Yodel’s services help us to fulfil that promise and from 12 September customers will be able to choose from a variety of Yodel’s options including 24, 48 and 74 hour delivery – which can be essential when buying medication for your pet.”

Speaking on behalf of Yodel, Sales Director, Jerry Kane added: “Like Pet Supermarket.co.uk, Yodel also holds the customer at the heart of its business. With the continued move towards online retailing, the way we shop and do business has changed and consumers need a delivery service which fits in with their busy and often unpredictable lifestyles.
